BHH... Camera to DVD via my PC - Are you trying to make VCD or DVD. VCD will most likely not play on stand alone player. Check the specs for the player, if it is able to play VCD, not too many are.
According to software specs, it is able to make both formats, try to make and burn DVD.... multiplex mkv on mac - Thank you Case! I'll give it a try.

The new Creative Zen - video formats???? - ADMENDMENT: The output resolutions only look right with a 1:1 par output. dont try a 1.33:1,etc as the player dont understand the display flag for those and willl ignore it... DVP5990-37.. poor avi decompression playback quality? - Not sure if I;m seeing something wrong, or if I maybe got a bad player. on avi playback of many different avi files, I see largeish purple or green splotches tinting the color underneath it. It could be playback quality loss, but I donlt recall seeing it this obvious with my previous philips player.

Pretty soon, you'll be able to go HDV with a major mfg for 300 bucks... AutoGK Filesize in Single Pass Mode - No.... At what point is a second pass pointless? - Apples and oranges. Use Target Quality if you don't need to aim for a specific size. Run the 2-pass when you need the AVI to be a certain size. A 1-pass that winds up a certain size will have about the same quality as a 2-pass done for the same size, all other things (like the resolution) being equal, no matter the percentage used. I've had no end of trouble with a rebuilt laptop and reached the stage of pulling my hair out trying to capture avi from vid camera without dropping frames and major jerky stuttering results.
I read all the sticky forums 2 or 3 times, check and substituted programmes and cables, defraged, deleted software, cleanups, you name it all the move ... How to get started with avidemux, edit and convert any video format - Here is a screen shot

there is a problem in chapters assignement when dealing with demuxed mpeg2 streams. It should have been fixed with release 2.1.3 Alpha . Give a try to it.

I tried the version you suggested and got the same problem, log files below in case they're different. Any thoughts??
BatchMux version ... avi audio out of sync fix? - virtualdubmod , avi demux ... Problem decoding DVDs, Pineapple Express, My Best friend's Girl, etc - If you are running the latest versions and they don't work, you can either wait, or try some of the old standbys. For every disc some here says they cannot rip with the newest tools, someone will come out and say they did it with DVD Decrypter or DVD Shrink .
